Celebrating young carers
The stereotype of a teenager is smashed every day in Warwickshire by the many young carers who spend much of their social life caring for a loved one.
To mark their efforts Warwickshire County Council Social Services and partners, including South Warwickshire Carers Support Service and Rugby CVS, are hosting a Young Carers Event tomorrow.
The event will be a celebration of being a young carer through art, and during the day young carers from across Warwickshire will be able to work with professional artists, such as a digital photographer, a rap artist, vinyl artist and Samba artist.
Compton Verney is the venue for the event, which will see each young person attending two workshops of their choice during the day. There will be a Christmas buffet lunch, and then a finale where all the artwork will be displayed.
