Roll up to the Health Store
Young people living in Nuneaton and Bedworth are being invited to find out about health advice and information that is available all under one roof.
The Health Store is open at Hatters Space Community Centre in Upper Abbey Space in Nuneaton and brings together advisers from different organisations, to make it easier for young people aged up to the age of 25 to access information and advice.
A special open day has been arranged to showcase the service. Topics covered include smoking, healthy eating, contraception, relationships, money, accommodation and housing.
The Health Store open day is on 26 January. People from organisations and services in the area are invited to have a look round between 10am and 12pm, while schools and young people themselves can visit between 1pm and 3pm.
The store’s regular drop in sessions are held on Mondays and Wednesdays between 12pm and 2pm, Tuesday from 4.30pm to 6.30pm and Thursday between 3pm and 4.30pm. The Health Store can be contacted on 024 7635 1418.
Warwickshire County Council Youth and Community Development Worker Jackie Earl said: “The purpose of the event is to give information about the services available and to promote The Heath Store to a variety of other organisations and services and to local young people.
“The Health Store is a valuable service for young people and supports young people in a variety of ways. The open day is a chance for people in the town to see what’s on offer and to understand how they can benefit from using it.”
