Calling all artists!
Warwick Hospital is looking for artists to help “make a difference” during Artsweek 2006 by showcasing their talents within the local community.
The Hospital has recognised from recent research that by incorporating the arts into hospitals, it can have a positive effect on patients, staff and visitors. Artists who wish to exhibit their work will be chosen through a selection process. They will also be considered for workshop opportunities at Warwick Hospital during Warwickshire Artsweek 1-16 July 2006.
Cathryn Ravenhall, Community Arts Officer at Warwickshire County Council, County Arts Service, who is running the Hospital project said:
“Artists are invited to contact us and take advantage of this wonderful opportunity to help make a difference to an important sector of the community. We are looking for several Warwickshire artists to introduce around the Hospital’s public spaces, identify suitable display areas and workshop opportunities and to submit their ideas to us. All work should be submitted by the 31 January.”
