Learn a bit of everything in Bedworth

People in Bedworth are being given the chance to get off the sofa and learn new skills at a series of free courses being held in the town.

Once the pupils go home at the end of the day Ash Green School, Nicholas Chamberlaine Technology College and Exhall Grange School, the buildings will be turned over to the adults.

Whether it is improving reading, writing or maths skills, simply keeping up with what the children are learning at school or getting to grips with computers, there is something for everyone.

There are chances to experience the aromas of different cultures with cooking from around the world, make story sacks to allow the whole family to have fun together, learn pottery, design web pages, carry out whacky experiments, make music and find out about family finance.

The courses are being run by Warwickshire County Council’s Adult Community Learning team with the Bedworth Learning Partnership.

Enrolment evenings are being held next week at the three schools for courses starting on 7 February at Ash Green and Nicholas Chamberlaine, and 8 February at Exhall Grange.

The courses are two hours each week and will run until the first week of April, with the exception of half term.

The courses are:
Nicholas Chamberlaine: Beginners and next steps in ICT, Story sacks and Cooking from around the world.
Ash Green: Beginners and next steps in ICT, Family finance, Cooking from around the world.
Exhall Grange: Web design, Family music, Pottery, Big Bang

The enrolment evenings are at Nicholas Chamberlaine and Ash Green on 31 January from 6pm to 7.30pm and at Exhall Grange on 1 February at the same times.
