Gardening know-how blooms in Kenilworth

Gardening enthusiasts are in for a treat as spring is coming early in Kenilworth Library.

A special spring garden workshop is being held at the library to launch the Marie Curie daffodil appeal, and the event will be graced with the green-fingered guru himself, Reg Moule, star of ITV’s Gardener’s Diary and Kenilworth Weekly News columnist.

Gardener extraordinaire, Reg, will be giving a talk on the spring garden and will be on hand to answer all your cultivating quandaries, from preventing pests to verifying vegetation.

The free event is on Tuesday 28 February at 10.30am in Kenilworth Library and coffee and cakes will be served after the session. Customers will be invited to make a small donation for the refreshments, which will go to the Marie Curie appeal that starts the following day.

Kate Mackie from Kenilworth Library said: “Whether a gardening pro or a complete beginner everyone can pick up some top tips from Reg, and what better way to raise money for the Marie Curie foundation?

“So if you’re not sure what the plant lurking in the corner of the garden is, or what’s crawling up your Busy Lizzies, bring it (or some of it) along and ask our expert, there is no entrance fee or ticket required, so just turn up and join in.”
