Historic motorsport showcase for Warwickshire
The smell of oil, the roar of engines and the beauty of motorsport from a bygone era are being joined this weekend by Warwickshire County Council as it showcases unique opportunities in driving the industry forward.
Warwickshire Investment Partnership as part of The Winning Technology, Coventry, Solihull and Warwickshire, will be attending this weekend’s International Historic Motorsport Show 2006 at the Stoneleigh Showground in Warwickshire.
Last year saw 20,000 people attend the event which gets underway today and runs until Sunday, providing one of Europe’s largest winter pre-season gatherings on the motorsport calendar.
Warwickshire Investment Partnership can be found throughout the weekend at Stand A12 in Hall 2.
Cllr Chris Saint, Warwickshire County Council Cabinet member for Economic Development, said: ``We are looking to raise our profile and ensure companies know who we are and what we do.
``We will also be looking for companies wishing to relocate to the region, and to make contact with firms looking to invest in this area.’’
