Warwickshire trade and tourism showcased

The array and diversity of trade and tourism in Warwickshire is being showcased this week at the NEC.

Warwickshire County Council’s economic development team are attending the British Trade and Travel Fair at the NEC tomorrow and Thursday.

The stand is called enjoywarwickshire.com, and this is being run jointly with Rugby Borough Council, North Warwickshire Borough Council and Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council.

A master ball maker from Webb Ellis will be stitching rugby balls on the stand on Wednesday, and on Thursday samples of fudge from `Hatton Toffee Shop’ will be available.

There will also be the launch of a series of new leaflets on the stand, including `Enjoy Rugby’ and their new visitor guide, plus Nuneaton and Bedworth’s Visitor Guide 2006.

Cllr Chris Saint, the county council’s Cabinet member for Economic Development, said: “This show is a golden opportunity to promote to the industry the benefits of tourism to the north of the county.”
