Pram problem for Alice as curtain prepares to rise
“Curiouser and curiouser,” said Alice. “There isn’t a pram for the pig.”
Young musicians and performers are getting ready to bring Alice in Wonderland to the stage but are missing a vital prop.
The cast of primary and secondary age pupils from Leamington, Warwick and Kenilworth have spent weeks in rehearsals for the performance of the musical version of Lewis Carroll’s story.
‘Alice’ is being performed by members of Centre Warwickshire Music Centre’s Music Theatre Group, which is run by Warwickshire County Council’s County Music Service, on 6 and 7 April at Bridge House Theatre at Warwick School in Myton Road. Tickets are £7 for adults, £3 for children and £18 for a family ticket of two adults and two children. They are available from County Music Service on 01926 412803.
Preparations are well underway but an old fashioned perambulator is needed for one of the scenes.
Sue said: “This promises to be a fantastic show with lots of talented young performers from schools across the district taking part. We are putting together the finishing touches now and would appreciate the loan of a pram if someone can lend us one.”
Anyone who is able to lend the cast a pram is asked to contact Sue Mock at the music centre on 01926 863208 or 07901 700008.
