100% for library home delivery staff

Staff from Warwickshire Library and Information Service’s Home Delivery Service (a library delivery service for housebound customers), have scored 100% in the ‘satisfaction with staff or volunteer knowledge and helpfulness’ category in a recent survey.

The service also scored 100% in the ‘satisfaction with the service reliability’ in another question on the survey and 98.8% are satisfied with the choice of materials received.

The survey, carried out in November and December 2005, recorded over 400 responses from users of the Home Delivery Service in Warwickshire. Respondents were from all of the six delivery areas of the county – Nuneaton, Bedworth, Rugby, Leamington, Kenilworth and Atherstone.

One respondent said,
“I’d like to thank everyone for this service, it’s brilliant.”
Another added,
“It’s very good – you can’t say anything else. Always on time.”

Desmond Heaps, Principal Librarian, said
“We are delighted to have such a good response to our survey which exceeded our predicted target. It is very rewarding to see the staff so highly praised as many of them are volunteers.”
