Firebreak pupils celebrate their success
Young people from across Warwickshire are preparing to celebrate their success this week at a ‘Firebreak’ passing out parade.
The event, which is being run by Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service, will take place at Nuneaton fire station on Thursday 30 March. Two groups, one from Nuneaton (incorporating Bedworth) and one from Kenilworth (incorporating; Alcester, Kineton and Leamington) will be holding a parade to mark the achievement of completing a 10 week Firebreak training course.
County Fire Officer; William Brown will be attending the event along with Councillor Richard Hobbs, Councillor John Haynes, Councillor Peter Fowler and Councillor Jill Dill-Russell. During the ‘Passing Out Parade’ the students will give a demonstration of their work, followed by an inspection from Councillors and teachers. They will then be presented with a ‘Record of Achievement’.
County Fire Officer, William Brown said:
“I am really pleased that so many young people have taken part in Firebreak. All of the students have worked really hard to complete the course and the awards ceremony is a recognition of that achievement.”
