Easter cycle training courses

Warwickshire County Council’s Road Safety team is offering children the opportunity to learn some valuable cycling skills over the Easter holiday.

Cycling awareness courses will take place at Warwickshire College in Leamington Spa on Wednesday 12 and Thursday 13 April inclusive, from 9am to midday. The 2-day course, for children aged 9 years and over (in Y5 or above), is conducted on the road and includes a test. The cost is £20 per pupil.

For younger/new cyclists, a Cycle Skills course is available. This 2-day course takes place on Monday 10 and Tuesday 11 April from 9am to 10.30am and is available to children aged seven and over and costs £12.50 per pupil. Pupils successfully completing the course will receive a certificate.

At Warwickshire College in Rugby, cycling awareness courses will run from Wednesday 19 to Friday 21 April inclusive, from 11am to 1pm. This 3-day course, for children aged nine years and over (in Y5 or above), is conducted on the road and includes a test. Cost is £20 per pupil.

For younger/new cyclists, a 2-day course takes place on Wednesday 19 and Thursday 20 April from 9am to 10.30am and is available to children aged seven and over and costs £12.50 per pupil. Pupils successfully completing the course will receive a certificate.

At Manor Park School in Nuneaton, cycling awareness courses will run on Wednesday 12 and Thursday 13 April inclusive, from 1pm to 4pm. This 2-day course, for children aged nine years and over (in Y5 or above), is conducted on the road and includes a test.  Cost is £20 per pupil. Pupils successfully completing the course will receive a certificate.

At Stratford High School in Stratford upon Avon, cycling awareness courses will run on Monday 10 and Tuesday 11 April inclusive, from 1.15pm to 4.15pm. This 2-day course, for children aged 9 years and over (in Y5 or above), is conducted on the road and includes a test. Cost is £20 per pupil.

For younger/new cyclists, a Cycle Skills course is available. This 2-day course also takes place on Monday 10 and Tuesday 11 April from 11.15am to 12.45pm and is available to children aged seven and over and costs £12.50 per pupil.  Pupils successfully completing the course will receive a certificate.
