Meet the Author – Terry Fox
Come along, on 5 April, to Warwick Library to hear Terry Fox talk about ‘Battling Jack’, the unique story of Warwickshire’s Jack Turpin, another of our events in partnership with Warwick Books.
‘Battling Jack’ Turpin is the last surviving member of his generation of Britain’s best-known, best-loved boxing family. It is the remarkable tale of a man whose indomitable spirit has out-stared ignorance and prejudice, tasted triumph and celebrity, and endured hardship and tragedy.
The event takes place at Warwick Library on Wednesday 5 April at 7.00pm. Tickets cost £3.50 and are available in advance from Warwick Library and Warwick Books.
Why not save money with a season ticket offering a reduction on full price admission. A ticket for five events costs £12.00 saving £5.50 on the individual price, a ten event ticket costs £20 saving £15.
Kate Mackie, Senior Team Leader, said

Keith Smith from Warwick Books, said
“We are pleased to welcome Terry Fox to the latest in the Meet the Author events. Terry is a very popular author and speaker and ‘Battling Jack’ charts the remarkable life and times of the man who is one of British boxing’s most famous featherweights. You certainly don’t need to be a boxing fan to enjoy this evening!”
Copies of Terry’s book, ‘Battling’ Jack Turpin’, will be on sale on the night at a discounted price.
