Three reasons to go quackers for Alice show
The computer said “no” but these three little ducklings won’t be lonely.
Their attempts to get into Wonderland were rejected by the computer that acts as the gatekeeper in an updated musical version of Lewis Carroll’s classic tale.
The three ducklings instead join Alice and her happy group on stage at the Bridge House Theatre at Warwick School, in Myton Road, Warwick.
Three pupils in Year 5 at Telford Junior School will be playing the part of the ducklings on April 6 and 7 at 7.30pm.
Maria Marshall, Martha O’Brien and Joanna Williams will be taking to the stage along with other members of Central Warwickshire Music Centre’s Music Theatre Group.
Tickets are available from Warwickshire County Council’s County Music Service, which runs the centre, on 01926 412803. They cost £7 for adults, £3 for children and £18 for a family ticket of two children and two adults.
Sue Mock of the County Music Service said: “There are many familiar and lovable characters in the musical, and rehearsals have been going very well. The cast have been working hard and we’re close to the curtain going up now. Alice has found her pram to wheel the pig, the white rabbit is ready to pop up and the musicians are ready for what should be two great nights of entertainment.”
