Digging out mining history at Pooley Country Park
A former miner is to help visitors to Pooley Country Park & Heritage Centre, near Polesworth, dig out the history of the local area this Sunday.
He will guide visitors on a walk to enable them to appreciate the location and workings of the once busy colliery that was once situated at Pooley.
It will then be possible to follow up the walk with a visit to the Mining Heritage Experience or enjoy a `cuppa’ in the cafe. Meet at the Visitor Centre at 2.00pm for this two-hour informative walk.
Cost: adults £1.50; concessions £1.00; family (max. 2 adults + 2 children) £3.50.
