The ‘Bogus Bugle’, Warwickshire County Council Trading Standards Service’s newspaper, filled with information on scams and rip-off’s, has proved so popular that a new edition has been launched.
May’s edition of the Bogus Bugle will be distributed to libraries, community organisations, Neighbourhood Watch Associations, businesses, Parish and Town Councils, Residents Associations and others. It is also available on our website: http://www.warwickshire.gov.uk/tradingstandards
Mark Ryder, Head of Warwickshire Trading Standards said:
"We first produced the Bogus Bugle in February as part of Scams Awareness Month, but have been amazed by the number of organisations that have continued to request copies, such that we have sent out hundreds more than we initially expected to.
The Bogus Bugle is one way in which we are continuing to raise awareness of the most common types of scams that are targeted at Warwickshire consumers and businesses.
Demand from local people has led us to produce a second edition, and more will follow in the future."
