Holiday fun in the sun in North Warwickshire

Warwickshire’s Country Parks Service is hoping to provide some fun and informative solutions to keep youngsters entertained throughout the schools’ summer holidays.

Activities will be held on Monday-Thursday mornings during the holidays at Kingsbury Water Park in North Warwickshire with events such as pond dipping, den building and mini-beast hunting to choose from.

Fun events will also be taking place every Wednesday afternoon of the holidays at Pooley Country Park & Heritage Centre, with similar events to chose from.

Each activity will cost £2.50 and will cater for most age groups of children; most will be for children between the ages of 3 and 12 years, while others will be for children 5 and under; there are also a few activities that will be suitable for the whole family. Adults must accompany their children as they take part in the well-organised activities. Early booking is essential and parents should ring 01827 872660 for both Kingsbury and Pooley activities to reserve places for their children.

The popular Young Anglers coaching sessions will also be held at Kingsbury Water Park every Wednesday of the summer holidays when children between the ages of 8 and 14 will be able to come along to learn the essentials of good angling with coaching provided by fully qualified staff.

Children will be able to attend as many sessions as they like during the school holidays at a cost of £3.00 per child for each Wednesday from 9.30am to 12 noon. Booking is essential and parents are advised to ring Kingsbury on 01827 872660 as soon as possible to reserve places.
