Cylinder Amnesty comes to North Warwickshire
Warwickshire Fire & Rescue Service is urging residents in the north of Warwickshire to take part in a two-week LPG (Liquid Petroleum Gas) cylinder amnesty.
LPG when used and stored correctly is perfectly safe, however if you had a fire in your home with a LPG cylinder, the consequences could be disastrous. If you have any unwanted gas cylinders lying around your house, under the stairs, in the loft, garden or garage, then call Nuneaton Fire Station on 02476 383131 and arrange for them to be removed free of charge by Fire Service Personnel.
Crew Manager, Mark Rattray said:
“This is a great opportunity to get rid of unwanted cylinders free of charge. By removing unwanted LPG cylinders you are removing any danger to yourselves, your family and fire crews.
"Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service is committed to reducing the risk of fires in homes across Warwickshire and this is just one of the ways you can help us to achieve this goal. “
The amnesty will run from Monday 17th July until Monday 31 July. For further information please contact the station on 02476 383131.
