March to Lunt Fort
Summer is here so why not take a walk out into the countryside for some exercise and fresh air. Warwickshire’s Country Parks staff have organised a guided walk that will give you the opportunity to “go roman”!
The eight-mile walk on Sunday 30th July will leave the Visitor Centre at Ryton Pools Country Park at 10.00am and will take you along footpaths and lanes to Baginton to see the Roman Lunt Fort, discovered in the 1960s.
There’ll be a stop for lunch before the return journey (bring a packed lunch), reaching Ryton at around 4.00pm.
