Whittleford Park Family Fun Day
A Family Fun Day is being organised in Whittleford Park for Saturday 12th August to help celebrate the installation of two new sculpture gates in the park.
The event, which is being organised by the Friends of Whittleford Park, Building Sustainable Neighbourhoods, Warwickshire County Council and Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council, will take place at Clay Pool, close to the Hamilton Court entrance to the Park, from 12 – 4pm.
Catherine Bower, Environmental Co-ordinator with Building Sustainable Neighbourhoods, said: “As well as the official opening, we are putting on a range of activities for all the family, including pond dipping, bug hunts, guided walks, face painting, environmental games, craft activities and displays.
“Whittleford Park is a wonderful place to visit and we’d like to encourage local families to bring a picnic if the weather is fine and join in the fun.”
