Have you had yours checked?
Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service are inviting residents in Stratford to sign up for a Free Home Fire Safety Check at Bards Walk, off Henley Street, Stratford-upon-Avon, on Thursday 21 September.
The event will take place between 10am to 12pm and 2pm to 4pm. Firefighters will be on hand to provide advice on a range of fire safety issues including, escape route planning, kitchen fire safety, and tips on the safe use of candles, heaters and electric blankets.
Station Manager, Jon Dixon said:
”The main aim of the event is to promote the services we provide and let people know about the Free - Home Fire Check Service. Fire kills, injures, and devastates thousands of homes each year and we would like to reduce that risk to residents in Stratford. The checks are free and only uniformed officers with a pre-arranged appointment will call.
” So please take this opportunity to come along and talk to firefighters from your local area and see how Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service can make your home safer.”
Requests for a home fire safety check can be received in a number of ways e.g. Direct referral on the day, via referrals from partner agencies, by telephone or via our web site. Each check will take about 30-40 minutes and can be arranged for a time to suit you.
