Don’t miss the chance for a share of £40,000

Local community groups such as businesses, charities or parish councils should be buzzing in anticipation of the chance to pick up a share of £40,000 in `WASPS’ funding.

WASPS is the Warwickshire Access to Service Partnership Scheme and thanks to £40,000 in funding from Advantage West Midlands, Warwickshire County Council is offering grants of £100 and £5,000 towards deserving projects.

This new grant could be utilised to the benefit of Warwickshire’s communities for a host of projects. The main aim of the funding is to help to get people to services, or to help get services to people.

Examples of projects that could be funded include equipment, training, bus shelters, cycle racks, information boards, and so on.

Grant bids of under £500 could be 100 per cent funded, while bids of between £500 and £5,000 could be eligible for 75 per cent funding with 25 per cent match funding required.

WASPS Fund, project officer Simi Braich said: “This is a brand new pot of money and I would like to encourage as many communities as possible from across Warwickshire get in touch, to make their bids.”
