Local businesses show their support

Local businesses have once again been pledging their support to young people in Warwickshire by donating free tickets and events passes for those taking part in Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Services Firebreak course.

There are currently two Firebreak courses running, one based at Rugby fire station and the second at Wellesbourne Fire station.  26 young people will be taking part in total and after 10 weeks, successful candidates will attend a passing out parade to celebrate their achievements in December.

Youth Development Officer, Moreno Francioso said:
“We are really pleased that so many businesses are supporting the Fire Break course. The tickets donated will be used to treat the young people who have achieved or excelled their learning goals. We would like to say a real big thank you to all of the businesses involved for all of their support.

“The main aim of the course is to help young people aged between 14 and 16 to gain vital life skills including communications, teamwork and self- confidence through practical scenario based training and theory/discussion workshops. “

Tickets this year have been donated by Coventry City Football Club, Blaze Ice Hockey Team, Cineworld in Rugby, Number 10 in Rugby (ten pin bowling), Apollo Cinema in Leamington, Snowdome in Tamworth.
