‘Outstanding’ verdict across Warwickshire

Outstanding education providers in Warwickshire have been praised by Her Majesty’s Chief Inspector of Schools.

Four schools in the county were judged to be outstanding during inspections in 2005-6. 4 early years centres and 13 childminders were also named by Christine Gilbert as offering outstanding provision.

The schools were Alcester Grammar School, Exhall Grange School and Science College, Priors Field Primary School, Kenilworth and Rugby High School.

The early years centres are Atherstone Early Years Centre, Gingham Pre-School, Drayton Avenue, Stratford, Polkadot Day Nursery, Greyswood, Stratford, and Riversley Park Children’s Centre in Nuneaton.

Mark Gore, Head of Education, Partnerships and School Development at Warwickshire County Council, said: “It is fantastic that these providers have been recognised in this way. We have secondary, primary and special schools all giving children and young people excellent education, and the quality of our early years provision has also been acknowledged as outstanding. This is a real testament to the headteachers, managers, staff and students at these institutions and I congratulate them all for their achievements.”
