Warwickshire’s Past Unlocked

Are you interested in tracing your family history or finding out if there are any old photographs of your neighbourhood? Do you want to know more about canal history, police history or any other aspects of Warwickshire’s past? If so, why not attend a session at the County Records Office to see how you can make the most of a new online catalogue of records?

Hilary Peck, archivist, said “Warwickshire’s Past Unlocked is a brand new online resource describing many of the original archives held in the County Record Office. Charting over 900 years of Warwickshire’s documentary past it provides an electronic signpost to these fascinating documents.”

The county’s archivists are inviting anyone interested to the record office at 10.00 tomorrow (Thursday 7 December) for a free session advising on how to make the most of the catalogue.  Just call 01926 738959 to reserve a slot.

Anybody unable to make the session can log on to http://www.warwickshire.gov.uk/archivesunlocked to find out more?
