Pop up fun for Warwickshire children!

Children aged between two and five have given the thumbs up to an exciting new pre-school resource pack – The Big Red Fire Engine Activity Box.

The activity box has been created by Warwickshire’s Fire and Rescue Services Community Fire Safety Team to assist carers of pre-school children with teaching fire safety. Each activity box contains a pop up fire engine tent, firefighters tunics, toy fire extinguishers, fireman Sam video, finger puppets, jigsaws, torch, loudspeaker, hats, posters, pictures and lots of exciting work books which help the children to learn about fire safety in a fun and interactive way.

Community Safety Liaison Officer, Niky Nind said:
“Feedback from the schools so far has been really positive and we are really pleased to be able to offer this service to anyone who looks after pre-school children. The boxes can easily be booked out of the lending libraries and although packed with exciting activities, it is also easy to carry.”

The packs are available to all early years providers including pre-schools, nurseries and child minders through the early years education and childcare centres.
