Increasing the number of buses between Kingsbury and Tamworth
A New Year improvement to bus services in North Warwickshire will see buses running every 20 minutes between Kingsbury and Tamworth.
From January 2 Warwickshire County Council has negotiated with bus operator Arriva Midlands to provide buses every 20 minutes between Tamworth and Kingsbury. They currently run every half hour.
Under the new arrangements, one bus an hour (Service 116) will extend through to Birmingham city centre and one bus an hour (Service 115) will extend to Wood End and Hurley. The remaining one bus an hour (Service 767) will extend beyond Kingsbury through to the new Coleshill Parkway rail station, Coleshill and Birmingham International. Coleshill Parkway rail station is due to open in February 2007.
Details about the increased frequency of buses for Kingsbury are available on the County Council web site at http://www.warwickshire.gov.uk/publictransport
