Have you got what it takes?
Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service is asking residents across Warwickshire if they have what it takes to be part of a dynamic, forward thinking Service.
Contrary to popular belief, Firefighters aren’t all 6ft-tall males. They’re dedicated men and women from a wide range of social and ethnic backgrounds. But all have one thing in common a genuine desire to make a difference to people’s lives. It’s not just about rescuing people from burning buildings or dealing with serious traffic accidents.
These days Firefighters are as much involved in raising fire safety awareness throughout the community, recognising that the best way to beat a fire is to stop it from ever starting. So as well as composure at a major front line incident, you’ll also need the ability to communicate effectively with all kinds of people in a variety of situations. These range from carrying out home fire safety checks to taking part in open days and representing the Service at promotional events.
So if you think you’ve got what it takes, this is your chance to prove it!
