Facelift for Pinetree Road in Bedworth
A facelift operation is underway in Pinetree Road in Bedworth to revamp the area around the shops.
The host of improvements include improved car parking, new street lights, resurfacing pavements, and landscaping for the area.
All of these improvements have been developed in consultation with local retailers and residents, and are being funded by Warwickshire County Council, Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council and the regional development agency, Advantage West Midlands.
The Pinetree Road improvements are among five similar projects across Nuneaton and Bedworth as part of a wider programme of support being delivered by the county and borough councils and being funded by AWM.
Other measures have included business support for local retailers and funding for improvements to retail premises.
Cllr Richard Chattaway, the local county councillor for Bede, said: “I’m delighted these improvements are getting underway this week. I think we all recognise that if an area looks nice, then we treat it with a little more respect.”
