Young talent to give Wizard performance

Some of central Warwickshire’s most talented young performers will be following the Yellow Brick Road as they take part in the County Music Service’s production of The Wizard of Oz next week.

Some sixty singers and musicians from local primary and secondary schools will be taking part in the County Music Service’s production of The Wizard of Oz on Thursday 15 and Friday 16 March at 7.30pm at Trinity Catholic Technology College, Guys Cliffe Avenue, Leamington Spa.

Tickets can be ordered through the Music Centre 01926 494426 and 07901 700 008 and cost £7 for Adults, £5 for Senior Citizens, £3 for children or £16 for a Family Ticket (two adults and two children).

Warwickshire County Council’s Music Service has drawn the cast from its Central Theatre Groups and performers are aged from 7-17 years old. The chorus is made up from three local primary schools – Newburgh Primary and All Saint’s C of E Junior, which are both in Warwick, and Snitterfield Primary near Stratford.

Simon Grimshaw from Warwickshire County Council’s Music Service said: “This promises to be a dazzling performance and tickets have already sold out for our schools’ matinee on Friday. The cast are really pleased to have such a wonderful venue in Trinity School’s new theatre.”
