Things are hotting up at Exhall
A decades old inefficient heating system has been replaced at Exhall Old School Community Centre thanks to funding from Warwickshire County Council’s Building Sustainable Neighbourhoods Project.
The centre has had a brand new £1,650 heating system and boiler installed, replacing the previous system which was more than 20 years old and sending running costs up and up.
Julie Jones, Secretary for Exhall Old School Community Centre, said: “We are really pleased with the new system. We, and our customers, have noticed a massive difference already.
“The Management Committee is very grateful to this funding secured from Advantage West Midlands, through Building Sustainable Neighbourhoods, a regeneration initiative from Warwickshire County Council. Without it, this project would not have been possible.”
This project comes from part of Building Sustainable Neighbourhoods new focus under ‘The Carbon Footprint ’ project, which is to help community venues save energy and therefore their centre running costs.
