Resources staff serve up a feasta eggs
Warwickshire County Council’s Resources Directorate held a quiz and raffle to purchase Easter eggs for children in Warwickshire hospitals.
Staff raised in excess of £700 and bought hundreds of eggs which the Warwickshire Telegraph will distribute to the children’s wards of George Eliot and Warwick hospitals.
The remainder of the money will be split between the two hospitals with each receiving in the region of £330.
Ward sister Maggie Ward of the McGregor Ward at Warwick Hospital, said: “We are thrilled that there will be so many eggs for the children and would like to thank the Resources staff for their efforts and kindness.”
David Clarke, strategic director for Resources, said: “We had a lot of fun with the quiz and were well supported by businesses in the Warwick area who were very generous in donating prizes. I am delighted that it will bring a smile to the children’s wards at Easter as well.”
