Plenty to entertain this Sunday at Pooley

A triple treat of entertainment is being offered this Sunday at North Warwickshire’s Pooley Country Park near Polesworth.

Not only is there the country park to enjoy with all its walks and green spaces, the children’s play area and the canalside tearooms, but visitors will also be able to enjoy an organised Fun Day with three special events.

The Vintage Stationary Engine Society will be at the site from 10am until 4pm, displaying many interesting and vintage engines, the Bird of Prey man will be at the park from 11am until 1pm where some will be lucky enough to have a falcon fly from their arm and finally from 10am until 5pm visitors will be able to have a go at archery thanks to the Forest of Arden Bowmen.

The usual event charges apply to the archery and falconry displays - £1.50 for adults and £1.00 for children and oaps. The Vintage Display is free apart from the usual parking charge of £1.

For further information on this event or for a free booklet giving the programme of walks and activities for all of Warwickshire County Council’s Country Parks, call Kingsbury Water Park on 01827 872660 or e-mail parks@warwickshire.gov.uk.
