It’s a knockout day of fun and games!
Young firefighters from across the county will be attending a day of fun and games this Saturday at Bidford primary school.
Those taking part will be able to enjoy a wide range of fun activities including plank and plunk, ping pong pipe, volley sponge, giant basketball loop and much, much more as they take part in their very own version of the classic TV programme - ‘it’s a knockout’.
Warwickshire County Council’s Fire and Rescue Service are running the event, which will take place at Bidford Primary School, Bramley Way, Bidford on Saturday 19 May between 10.30am and 3.30pm. All of the young people attending will be from Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Services Young Firefighters Association.
Firefighter, Mike Franklin said:
“This should be a great day with lots of fun and games for all of the young firefighters to enjoy. There will be 21 teams taking part in the event from nine units from across the county, so things could get really competitive. Certificates and medals will be awarded to the top three teams and there is also a trophy for the winning unit.”
Assistant County Fire Officer, Stephen Haynes will be attending the event and presenting team and individual certificates at the end of the competition. The winning team will be presented with the Tony Vale trophy, which they will keep at their YFA base for a year.
