Dr Bus is heading to North Warwickshire

Established and would-be bus users alike are being invited to attend events next week in North Warwickshire to have their say on how they believe things could be improved and learn more about services.

Warwickshire County Council is holding `Dr Bus’ surgeries in both Atherstone and Polesworth on Thursday, May 31.

The first surgery is from 10am until 12.30pm in Long Street, Atherstone – in the lay by outside Somerfields, and the second is in Polesworth’s Hall Court car park on Bridge Street from 1.30pm until 4pm.

Visitors will have the chance to chat with representatives from Warwickshire County Council and key bus operators in person.

The surgeries will also allow people to find out more about timetables and the services available.

The two consultations will take place on Warwickshire County Council’s newly converted exhibition bus, which aims to make information on services more readily available around Warwickshire.

Cllr Martin Heatley, Warwickshire County Council’s Portfolio Holder for the Environment, said: “I’d urge as many people as possible to get along to these events and air their views on bus services.

“Warwickshire County Council’s Transport Operations Team works extremely hard with bus companies to ensure the best possible service is provided.’’

Keith Myatt, Arriva’s Communications and Media Relations Manager, said: “We’re pleased to work in partnership with Warwickshire County Council to provide improvements to local bus services in the Tamworth and North Warwickshire areas.”
