Nuneaton Library points way to good health
Health is top if the agenda at Nuneaton Library as it stages an event to celebrate Adult Health Information Week on 7th July.
The day is looking to introduce people to some popular alternative therapies as well as encouraging them to take up sports or physical exercise.
Exhall Tai Chi Group will perform an exhibition routine outside the front of the library. The local Cycle Touring Club will be joined by a ladies running group and sports development officers from Nuneaton and Bedworth Leisure Trust.
Alternative therapies include an aromatherapist, a hypnotherapist, a specialist in meditation, exponents of Indian head massage, reflexology, crystal therapy and Reiki.
Reiki is a Japanese form of self-healing and spiritual development, and emotional freedom therapy that corrects imbalances in the body’s energy system which can have profound effects on the mental state.
Denise Widdows of Nuneaton Library said: “Libraries do not simply lend books; they are an essential point where the community can come and obtain valuable information.
“This event will be an opportunity for people to come and see what steps they can take to ensure that they enjoy the best possible both physical and mental health.”
Adult Health Information Week starts on 2 July. The event at Nuneaton Library runs from 11-3pm.
