Whittleford Park Family Fun Day
After the roaring success of last year’s event, a second Family Fun Day is being organised in Nuneaton’s Whittleford Park.
The event, which is being organised by the Friends of Whittleford Park, Building Sustainable Neighbourhoods, Warwickshire County Council and Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council, will take place at Clay Pool, close to the Hamilton Court entrance to the Park, between 12 and 4 pm, on Saturday, July 28.
Catherine Marks, Environmental Co-ordinator with Building Sustainable Neighbourhoods, said: “After last year’s success, we decided that a nice way to involve the community and hopefully a wider selection of Nuneaton and Bedworth residents would be to hold another Fun Day.
“We are recreating firm favourites from last year’s event including face painting, pond dipping and the Whittleford Park Game, and this year we are adding Willowcraft and a photo competition to the mix along with a Working Lives Display charting work and industry in Nuneaton and Bedworth, a Bricks to Nature Display and guided walks of the area.”
