‘One Stop’ wedding venue’s open day

Atherstone couples planning to ‘tie the knot’ will be interested to know that they can check out a new wedding venue in the town on Friday 20th July.

Warwickshire County Council registrars are holding an open day at their new ceremony room – which is situated alongside the town’s recently opened ‘Warwickshire Direct’ one stop shop! The open day event will take place between 12 noon and 4pm.

The Atherstone registrars moved to their new premises in the one stop shop on South Street in April. The first wedding in the new ceremony room took place earlier this month, when North Warwickshire Borough Council employee, Charlotte Phillips (pictured), who books out the ceremony room, chose to get married there herself!

Diane Lampard, Superintendent Registrar and District Manager, said: “The venue is already proving popular, even though it’s only been open a couple of weeks, with bookings into September this year.

"We’d love to meet any couples who are planning to get married and are looking for the right location for their wedding in Atherstone.”

The ceremony room has been newly refurbished to a high standard, seats 40 guests and has the advantage of being situated in the centre of the town. Outside are some attractive gardens, perfect for wedding photos.

Couples who have already booked the new ceremony room for their wedding are also invited to attend the open day. The Atherstone registrars will be available throughout the afternoon to have an informal chat with couples about their wedding plans.
