Youngsters, stay safe over summer

Enjoy the summer holidays but stay safe – that’s the message from local services that will be pitching up a special market stall in Rugby.

Warwickshire’s Youth Offending Service is among the services that will be offering advice to young people at Rugby’s Market Place from 9am to 3.30pm.on Friday 3 August.  The other services include Warwickshire Police, Connexions, Positive about Young People, Warwickshire Fire & Rescue Service, the Respect Yourself Partnership, Positive Futures and Rugby Borough Council.

Vicki Barnes of Warwickshire County Council’s Youth Offending Service said: “The main message from the Youth Offending Team is for young people to have a fun and enjoyable summer but to be aware of their own safety and the safety of others. At this time of year young people can be at risk of getting into trouble and we want to divert them away from anti-social behaviour and, in some cases, crime.”
