With a yo, ho, ho at Ryton

Dead Man’s Swamp, Pirates’ Cove and Ship Wreck Island are just a few of the places to look out for at Ryton Pools Country Park from Monday when a week’s treasure trail with a pirate theme begins.

There will be other adventurous activities, also with a pirate theme, taking place at the country park on Monday 6th and Tuesday 7th August when parents and children can drop into the Education Centre at the park to make pirate hats and eye patches.

The treasure trail will take place between 11am and 3pm each day of the week.  Those daring to take part should pick up their trail sheets from the Visitor Centre; price £1.00 per sheet.

Hats and eye patch making takes pace between the same times on Monday and Tuesday – price £1.50 per child.
