Win your own bike courtesy of Warwick Cycle Races
A fantastic brand new mountain bike is being offered as a prize ahead of this year’s TravelWise Cycle Races in Warwick.
Warwickshire County Council is working with TravelWise, Warwick District Council, Warwickshire Police and British Cycling to ensure that this year’s races on Sunday, September 16, are bigger and better than ever.
And to give everyone the chance to get back in the saddle on a brand new mountain bike, the local authority is running a competition ahead of this year’s event.
One lucky person will win a Claude Butler Cape Wrath 24 mountain bike.

The event will once again see some of the world’s best riding the circuit of historic landmarks in Warwick.
Planning is underway on the multitude of activities to join the top elite cycling action from international names.
As well as racing last year’s event saw plenty of sideshow entertainment as the centre of Warwick was transformed into one of the biggest closed road cycling events in the country – including flaming hula hoops this year!
The National TravelWise Association, of which Warwickshire County Council is a member, is a network of sectors, including local authorities, health sector, academic sector and passenger transport executives working together to promote healthy and sustainable transport.
Cllr Martin Heatley, Warwickshire County Council’s Cabinet member for the Environment, said: “Last year’s event was a huge success, and I’m looking forward to seeing how this year progresses things further.
“Cycling is a great leisure pursuit, way to commute, and way to keep healthy. This event is a wonderful showcase of some of the best cycling talent out there.”
