Banbury Road closed for a month in Stratford

A stretch of Banbury Road in Stratford is to be closed for the next four weeks to allow for the installation of a new foul and storm water sewer.

Works got underway yesterday and the road is to be closed for four weeks, with the works then continuing until October 5.

The road will be closed to through traffic from the junction of Milestone Road south easterly for a distance of approx 150m to a point outside number 199 Banbury Road for the installation of the new foul and storm water sewer.
An alternative route is available via A4390 Trinity Way, A3400 Shipston Road, A422 Banbury Road (and in reverse order).

Access to and egress from properties and land adjacent to this length of road, and for pedestrians, will be maintained at all times.

Cllr Martin Heatley, Warwickshire County Council’s Portfolio for the Environment, said: “We regret any inconvenience that may be caused during these essential works to improve the sewer on this road.”
