Last chance to get entries in for art competition!

People are being urged to get their entries in quickly for Warwickshire County Council’s Summer Art Competition, the deadline for which is this Friday (31 August)!

The county council launched the competition earlier in the summer, and is searching for a lively masterpiece to brighten up its new customer service centre in Bedworth.

The theme of the competition is ‘Diversity in Warwickshire’ – for example, in local areas, communities or the services provided by Warwickshire County Council.

Several prizes, including a grand prize of an iPod Nano, are up for grabs. All Warwickshire residents are free to enter.

There are three age categories: 11 - 14, 15 – 18, and over 18. All entries need to be an original piece and on A3 size paper. The style of artwork is completely open – crayons, pencils and watercolours are all fine – but no collages, please.

Adrienne Bellingeri, Warwickshire County Council’s Customer Service Manager, said:  “The top two entries in each category will be permanently displayed in our offices in King’s House in Bedworth and receive prizes, with one overall winner receiving an iPod Nano.”

To enter, post or deliver your artwork to: Art Competition, Warwickshire Direct, Kings House, King Street, Bedworth CV12 8LL by midday on Friday 31 August.

Make sure you include your name, address, home phone number, email address (if you have one) and date of birth (if under 18) with your entry, along with details of where you heard about the competition.
