Gold Offers provide plenty to celebrate in Warwickshire

A dismal summer of wet weather and flooding has taken its toll on tourism in Warwickshire and in a bid to rally support for the county’s various enterprises Warwickshire County Council is hosting ‘Gold Offers’ on its tourism web site at enjoywarwickshire.com

Businesses and organisations throughout the county are being offered the chance to highlight their offers to the people of Warwickshire and visitors for completely free.

All of the offers are being listed at http://www.warwickshire.gov.uk/goldoffers, and already in the first week more than 20 businesses have joined the database.

These range from three nights for the price of two at a Stratford hotel, to 10 per cent off cycle hire, deals on tea and cake, and meal offers at a north Warwickshire pub.

Cllr Chris Saint, Warwickshire County Council’s Portfolio Holder for Economic Development, said: “We are aware that it has been a challenging summer for many tourism businesses across the county.  To try and help, and to raise awareness of the quality and diversity of the Warwickshire tourism industry, we are supporting the Advantage West Midlands ‘Visit the Heart’ campaign.

“Our website, enjoywarwickshire.com has been upgraded to enable tourism businesses to publish special offers as part of a Warwickshire Gold Offers campaign, part of a wide range of business support services available from the County Council.”
