Customer Service Week - Monday 1st October
The county’s ‘Warwickshire Direct’ partnership will be putting customer service in the spotlight today (Monday 1st October) as part of this year’s national Customer Service Week.
A whole host of events are being organized by Warwickshire’s county, district and borough councils to celebrate the annual event, with the aim of encouraging local residents to access council and other local services.
The week will also recognize the achievements of those people whose job it is to provide good customer service in Warwickshire.
Today’s events - Monday 1st October:
Atherstone: There will be a special open day at the ‘Warwickshire Direct – North Warwickshire’ one stop shop and North Warwickshire Borough Council’s Contact Centre. It will be a celebration of six months since the opening of the one stop shop and of Warwickshire County Council’s registrars being located at the Atherstone offices. The Mayor of North Warwickshire, local councillors, the Tenants Forum, Citizens Advice Bureau, Credit Union and representatives from Lloyd’s Chemist will be at the event, with cake cutting and speeches by the Mayor and NWBC’s Chief Executive. Visitors will be able to have a tour of the ‘Warwickshire Direct’ one stop shop, Contact Centre, marriage suite and Millennium Tapestry, and there will be special Internet Awareness sessions.
Nuneaton: Today sees the official opening of the brand new ‘Warwickshire Direct – Nuneaton & Bedworth’ one stop shop at Nuneaton & Bedworth Borough Council’s headquarters at Nuneaton Town Hall at 9am, with the Mayor cutting the ribbon. Neighbourhood Watch will be holding a drop-in session from 1.30pm till 5pm, with information and displays and there will also be a drop-in session from Warwickshire Fire & Rescue Service.
Bedworth: Advisors from Warwickshire County Council’s Customer Service Centre in Bedworth will be answering queries and giving out leaflets at the ‘Warwickshire Direct – Bedworth’ one stop shop at King’s House.
Rugby: There will be information displays in Rugby Borough Council’s main reception and housing department and the chance to win an iPod Shuffle by filling in a ‘Warwickshire Direct’ customer service questionnaire.
Warwick: The ‘Warwickshire Direct’ bus will be in Market Square and advisors from Warwickshire County Council’s Customer Service Centre in Shire Hall will be on board to hand out advice and information on a wide range of council services (08.00 – 17.00).
Stratford: Advisors from Stratford District Council Customer Service Centre will be at the Corn Market at the top of Sheep Street in the morning to hand out advice and information on a wide range of council services.
