Customer Service Week - Wednesday 3rd October
The county’s ‘Warwickshire Direct’ partnership will be putting customer service in the spotlight today (Wednesday 3rd October) as part of this year’s national Customer Service Week.
A whole host of events are being organized by Warwickshire’s county, district and borough councils to celebrate the annual event, with the aim of encouraging local residents to access council and other local services.
The week will also recognize the achievements of those people whose job it is to provide good customer service in Warwickshire.
Today’s events:
Mancetter: The ‘Warwickshire Direct’ bus will be at Dobbies Garden World and advisors from North Warwickshire Borough Council will be on board to hand out advice and information on a wide range of council services (09.30 - 10.30).
Hoar Park: The ‘Warwickshire Direct’ bus will be at Hoar Park Garden Centre (11.00 – 12.00).
Nether Whitacre: The ‘Warwickshire Direct’ bus will be at Whitacre Garden Centre (12.30 – 13.30).
Freasley: The ‘Warwickshire Direct’ bus will be at Planters Garden Centre (14.00 – 15.00).
Newton Regis: The ‘Warwickshire Direct’ bus will be at Newton Regis Garden Store (16.00 – 17.00).
Atherstone: There will be an evening session of Tai Chi between 5.15pm and 7.30pm for members of the public and staff. Staff from Lloyds Pharmacy will be at the ‘Warwickshire Direct – North Warwickshire’ one stop shop between 5.15pm and 7.30pm to carry out blood pressure and diabetes checks for members of the public and staff.
Bedworth: Warwickshire County Council will be holding an ‘anti-stress day’ for its Customer Service Centre advisors at King’s House.
Rugby: There will be information displays in Rugby Borough Council’s main reception and housing department and the chance to win an iPod Shuffle by filling in a ‘Warwickshire Direct’ customer service questionnaire.
Leamington: Warwick District Council’s Chief Executive will be going ‘back to the floor’, serving customers at Newbold Comyn Leisure Centre, selling tickets at the Spa Centre and taking switchboard calls.
Warwick: Warwickshire County Council will be holding an ‘anti-stress day’ for its Customer Service Centre advisors at Shire Hall.
Stratford: Stratford on Avon District Council will be holding British Sign Language courses for its staff to improve their communication with customers with impaired hearing.
