The county’s ‘Warwickshire Direct’ partnership will be putting customer service in the spotlight today (Thursday 4th October) as part of this year’s national Customer Service Week.
A whole host of events are being organized by Warwickshire’s county, district and borough councils to celebrate the annual event, with the aim of encouraging local residents to access council and other local services.
The week will also recognize the achievements of those people whose job it is to provide good customer service in Warwickshire.
Water Orton: The ‘Warwickshire Direct’ bus will be at George Rd sheltered housing unit, Water Orton, and advisors from North Warwickshire Borough Council will be on board to hand out advice and information on a wide range of council services (10.00 – 11.00).
Coleshill: The ‘Warwickshire Direct’ bus will be at Dugby Road sheltered housing unit, Coleshill (12.00 – 13.00).
Arley: The ‘Warwickshire Direct’ bus will be at Rowland Court sheltered housing unit, Arley (14.00 – 15.00).
Atherstone: There will be walks for North Warwickshire Borough Council staff between 12.30pm and 1pm. A number of job swaps will be taking place throughout the day.
Kenilworth: Staff from ‘Warwickshire Direct – Kenilworth’ will be manning a market stall in Kenilworth between 8.30am and 3pm. They will be joined by Benefit Take-up Officers, a Recycling Officer, customer service staff and senior officers from Warwick District Council.
Nuneaton: Warwickshire Police will be holding drop-in sessions at the new ‘Warwickshire Direct – Nuneaton & Bedworth’ one stop shop between 10am and 5pm, and Tenants Participation will be holding drop-in sessions between 1pm and 5pm.
Bedworth: Advisors at Warwickshire County Council’s Customer Service Centre at King’s House will be nominating their ‘Customer Service Advisor of the Year’ and there will be a staff quiz.
Rugby: There will be information displays in Rugby Borough Council’s main reception and housing department and the chance to win an iPod Shuffle by filling in a ‘Warwickshire Direct’ customer service questionnaire.
Warwick: Advisors at Warwickshire County Council’s Customer Service Centre at Shire Hall will be nominating their ‘Customer Service Advisor of the Year’ and there will be a staff quiz.
