Customer Service Week - Friday 5th October

The county’s ‘Warwickshire Direct’ partnership will be putting customer service in the spotlight today (Friday 5th October) and tomorrow as part of this year’s national Customer Service Week.

A whole host of events are being organized by Warwickshire’s county, district and borough councils to celebrate the annual event, with the aim of encouraging local residents to access council and other local services.

The week will also recognize the achievements of those people whose job it is to provide good customer service in Warwickshire.

Today’s events (Friday 5th October):

Atherstone: Staff at North Warwickshire Borough Council will be taking part in a book swap. There will be a ‘stress busting’ room with various games such as Giant Jenga, and a Mayors Charity Quiz will be held in the evening.

Bedworth:  Advisors at Warwickshire County Council’s Customer Service Centre at King’s House will be announcing the winner of their ‘Customer Service Advisor of the Year’. They’ll also be dressing down for Jeans4Genes Day and there will be the launch of the new ‘Warwickshire Direct’ staff uniforms.

Leamington: Customer Service Advisors and staff from Warwick District Council will be dressing down for Jeans4Genes Day and there will be an open day at Warwick District Council’s Customer Service Centre. The winner of Warwick District Council’s Customer Service Advisor of the Year will also be announced.

Rugby: There will be information displays in Rugby Borough Council’s main reception and housing department and the chance to win an iPod Shuffle by filling in a ‘Warwickshire Direct’ customer service questionnaire.

Warwick: Advisors at Warwickshire County Council’s Customer Service Centre at Shire Hall will be announcing the winner of their ‘Customer Service Advisor of the Year’. They’ll also be dressing down for Jeans4Genes Day and there will be the launch of the new ‘Warwickshire Direct’ staff uniforms.

Stratford:  Advisors from Stratford District Council Customer Service Centre will be at the Corn Market at the top of Sheep Street in the morning to hand out advice and information on a wide range of council services.

Tomorrow’s events (Saturday 6th October):

Atherstone: The first Saturday opening of the ‘Warwickshire Direct – North Warwickshire’ one stop shop takes place today. Warwickshire County Council’s registrars will also be holding a special open day at the town’s Civic Suite.

Warwick: Customer Service Advisors from Warwick District Council, joined by Benefit Take-up Officers and a Recycling Officer, will be giving out information and advice at a market stall in Warwick between 8.30am and 2.30pm.
