Council staff PAWS for thought in Bedworth
Staff at Warwickshire County Council’s Customer Service Centre in Bedworth took a short break from answering telephone calls last week to PAWS for thought with some very special four-legged friends.
As part of an ‘anti-stress’ day for the Customer Service Advisors at King’s House during national Customer Service Week, local guide dogs Benji, Ollie and Kevin were welcomed into the office to say hello and demonstrate the good work that they do.
The Customer Service Advisors regularly raise money for Nuneaton & Bedworth Guide Dogs, so they were keen to meet the dogs, the people who look after them – and the people the dogs look after!
Sue Orrell, a puppy walker for Nuneaton & Bedworth Guide Dogs, brought golden Labrador Ollie and puppy Benji into the Customer Service Centre to meet the advisors and say thank you for their fundraising work. Kevin, a black Labrador, also came to say hello with his owners, local couple Keith and Shelagh Gregory.
Adrienne Bellingeri, Customer Contact Manager, said: “We were really pleased that Keith and Shelagh paid us a visit, as they were able to give us all an insight into their day-to-day experiences and the good work that Kevin, their guide dog, does for them both.
“We were also delighted to meet Ollie and Benji the puppy. It’s great for our staff to know that the fundraising work they do is going towards the training and care of these dogs, who are an absolute lifeline for their owners.”
