Building on pupils’ skills in ‘National Construction Week’
Schools pupils are having their building skills put to the ultimate test as part of ‘National Construction Week’.
The Warwickshire Education Business Partnership is supporting National Construction Week with events delivered by its Coventry and Warwickshire Setpoint team.
One of the events was a special challenge taking place at Coundon Court School and Community College where more than 200 Year 9 students took part in a ‘Roofline Challenge’ - testing their structures to destruction.
And this will be repeated today when the Setpoint team will deliver a similar challenge to schools attending the special ‘Building People’ event at The Royal Showground, Blackdown Buildings, Stoneleigh.
Warwickshire Education Business Partnership works as part of Warwickshire County Council with businesses and schools to help address the constant demand from employers for school leavers to be ‘work ready’.
