Free family fun day for carers
Members of the public are invited to join carers from across the county at a free multi-cultural family fun day on Saturday 10 November at Campion School, Sydneham Drive in Leamington from 11am – 3.00pm.
Mayor of Leamington, David Greenwood will be performing the opening ceremony.
The event is organised by Warwickshire Carers Forum in partnership with Warwickshire County Council and Warwickshire Learning Disability Partnership Board.
Stalls on everything from information for carers to Warwickshire Police will be at the event all day. Activities include arts & craft, African Drummers and dancing displays.
Minakshee Patel, Equality & Diversity Coordinator said: “We are delighted to offer such a varied programme of information and entertainment for carers. This event is the result of a number of agencies working in partnership and we hope people will come along to see the sort of support that is available.
“Between 150 and 200 people between the ages of 10 and 75 years attended the event we held last year and thoroughly enjoyed the activities we offered.”
